More Foreclosure News--That's Better!

The Denver Business Journal today referred to RealtyTrac data showing that “Colorado had the seventh-highest foreclosure rate in the nation in October, edging up from number eight in September…”.

More importantly it said, “Colorado’s foreclosure rate was down more than 14 percent from September, and down nearly 4 percent from October 2006.” Last year Colorado was at or near the top of the list for homes in foreclosure.

Over the years it has seemed that Colorado’s economy is counter-cyclical to the East and West Coast regions. When the coasts are up, we are weaker. When they are going down, we typically have hit bottom and are starting to head up. That appears to be what is happening now.
